Project Officer

Michael Ochem serves as a dedicated Conservation Project Officer at A Rocha Ghana (ARG). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He has achieved over 3 years of valuable working experience. Leveraging on his robust academic background in Natural Resource Management, Michael is fuelled by an unwavering passion for environmental stewardship, research, and sustainable livelihoods, which he continues to showcase in his role as ARG’s Conservation Project Officer.

 

In his impactful role, Michael has significantly contributed to ARG’s projects, particularly in the Southern

Sector, encompassing Brong Ahafo, Ashanti, Western, Eastern, Volta, and Central Regions. His dynamic

contributions include training climate-smart smallholder farmers, spearheading the restoration of

degraded mangrove forests, implementing sustainable agroforestry systems, community-based resource

management, and coordinating Environmental Training and Education initiatives for students. Not only

that, He also envisions a green and sustainable future for Africa.

 

Michael’s commitment to a sustainable future in Africa shines through as he bridges the gap

between academic knowledge and practical applications. Proficient in ecological data modeling, his

leadership in diverse conservation projects undertaken by A Rocha Ghana and its international partners

positions him as a transformative force in the global conservation arena.

Michael believes in excellence and the saying, “All things are possible”.
